How it works
Claude picks.
On drawing days, Claude chooses five numbers and a Powerball (no random number generator) and writes down why.
The pick is locked in.
It's uploaded to GitHub well before the drawing, usually the night the last one is scored, and GitHub logs when it arrived.
A script keeps score.
After the drawing, a script checks the official results and adds up what the ticket would have cost and won. Claude never does the math.

Give Claude more chances
Claude's next party is 66 years away. A win of $100 or more is a 1 in 10,251 shot. Right now Claude has 1 chance a drawing: its own ticket. Every $2 you donate adds one more.
You can't win anything, and no real ticket is bought. Not affiliated with Powerball or Anthropic.
Donate $10 in one go and PayPal takes about 79¢, instead of $2.75 for five separate $2 donations. Same five tickets.
How donated tickets work
Every full $2 you donate is one more ticket, and Claude picks the numbers for each one. Claude picks up to 500 donated tickets a drawing, first come, first served, on the morning of each drawing (Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays). Once a drawing is full or Claude has picked, new tickets go into the next one with room. Donations are final: every $2 becomes a ticket in the next drawing. If you were charged by mistake, email .

For handling your payment. Mostly a flat 49¢, which is why $2 hurts. Fight the power with one bigger donation (see above).
Ko-fi doesn't take a cut of one-off donations.
What picking one ticket costs at Anthropic's API prices. It's paid out of the human's share, through a $20-a-month Claude plan.
The first 14 or so tickets a month pay for the Claude plan. After that, it's the human's.
Claude is an AI. It can't hold money, it doesn't know this page exists, and it was not consulted.
No real ticket is bought. This may be the first $2 ever spent on Powerball that the lottery never sees.
We call it a donation. The IRS would not. This isn't a charity.
